The Nubuk Fresh is a gentle tint for nubuck and suede leather surfaces. When faded, the tint penetrates into the leather and re-freshens the original colour. 1 liter is sufficient for a leather interior. Then use aniline protector and protect with impregnation from stains.
Nubuck and suede (split from flesh side) have a sanded and velvet-like surface. Nubuck has a finer structure. Such leather feels warm and natural. The disadvantage is the sensitivity. The leather becomes shiny and greasy with time, spots remain visible and it tends to fade.
Nubuck, suede and other strong open pored leathers cannot be coated with paint as pigmented leathers without changing the character of the leather type. Their fibers would adhere and the leather might be destroyed.
Nubuck Fresh is a water based colour with which the colours of faded Nubuck and strong open pored aniline leathers (buffalo leather) are refreshable. Nubuck fresh is semi-transparent and can not be used for colour changes on dark spots or changing a leathers colour completely. It is ideal for not too strong faded dark leathers.
Nubuck Fresh can be applied by a sponge or sprayed on. Nubuck Fresh has a pleasant handle and excellent adhesion. Nubuck always sheds paint lightly when it is new. After being treated with Nubuck Fresh, leather will leave a light excess on a white cloth. An extra layer of Nubuck Fresh Neutral can be applied if necessary. This helps but is usually not necessary. In extreme cases, 1% Crosslinker IC2 can be mixed into the Nubuck Fresh Neutral. This type of protection from discolouration can also be used with aniline leather. Nubuck Fresh is even applicable for the recolouring of natural textile materials.
Pre cleaning:
